Gotham Knights finished its run with a series finale that left us wishing The CW had renewed the DC series for another season. Thanks to a poorly received first trailer, it’d been an uphill battle for the show to garner an audience, but it steadily did so episode by episode as viewers fell in love with its cast of characters.

The finale, which ends with a reveal that begged for more time for the story to be told, wrapped up the Court of Owls plot that had been at the center of the series since its beginning. Turner got answers that he’d been looking for since Bruce was murdered, Duela met her father Harvey’s other side, and the heroes of the show stepped fully into their roles as Gotham’s protectors.

At the end of the episode, before the credits, there was an in memoriam that read “In loving memory of our friend and colleague Chris Dodge-Copeland.” Who was he and what is the legacy he left behind? Here’s what we know.
