With the news that the main roles have been cast for Superman: Legacy, we’re even more excited to learn more about the actors behind the roles of the titular character and Lois Lane. James Gunn recently announced that after weeks of searching, they found their lead stars in David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan. Who is Rachel Brosnahan and what has she appeared in?

James Gunn recently announced the news after screen testing different actors to see who would work for the role. Brosnahan was eventually cast as Lois Lane and from all accounts, she will be a perfect fit.

The film is set to be a look at Superman in his younger years as he balances being a superhero while also working as a reporter as Clark Kent. It is slated to be out in theaters on July 11, 2025.

As Gunn prepares for the making of the film, it’s in the hopes that it will be a successful attempt at bringing DC films back into the fray with a whole new universe to play with.

With Brosnahan and Corenswet now cast, Gunn will be looking for other actors to fill other roles that could eventually lead to their own movies. This would likely include plans to make a Batman film and The Authority.

According to Brosnahan’s profile page on IMDb, the actress stands at 5’3” tall. She’s on the short side, which we find very fitting for the character! For comparison, David Corenswet, who will be portraying Superman in Superman: Legacy, is 6’4” tall. What a perfect pair!

Brosnahan was born on July 12, 1990, meaning she will be turning 33 at the time of this writing. The actress is also known for I’m Your Woman, Spies in Disguise, House of Cards, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
