The Barbie movie is almost here, and you know you want to see it in theaters. Will you be treated to Ryan Gosling’s actual singing voice?

The Barbie movie is almost here, and it looks to be everything we didn’t realize we needed. It’s not just a straight comedy, either. This is a musical comedy, with a lot of original songs. Of course, as you start looking at the songs available, you’ll wonder if the actors chosen for the role are going to sing or not.

Ryan Gosling plays Ken in the movie. He gets an original song called “I’m Just Ken,” and there is already a music video out to show it off. Now fans want to know if that’s Gosling’s real voice or if there’s a singing double in it.

If you watched La La Land, you’ll know that Ryan Gosling can sing. In fact, during the 1990s, he was part of The All New Mickey Mouse Club, where he performed with stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. This man has a voice, and yes, he’s another Mouseketeer in the world of Hollywood.

He shared with Entertainment Weekly how he had to tap into the 12-year-old boy that he once left behind. This was the side of him that he needed to perform Ken in the way we all needed. He also shares that he doesn’t remember too much of the performance and he felt like a Ken Doll who needed to follow all of Greta Gerwig’s directions just to become human again.

The Barbie movie isn’t going to be affected by the SAG-AFTRA strike. The premiere has already happened, and the movie is still ready to come out on Friday, July 21. We’ll just see less promotion now that the actors won’t be doing anything.
