The Chi season 6 release schedule on Paramount+ and Showtime

The Chi first debuted on our screens in December 2017, and we certainly can’t get enough of the drama series. That’s why we’re of course so happy with the arrival of The Chi season 6! With episodes being released on both Paramount+ and Showtime, it can be confusing to keep up with the schedule. So when do new episodes come out?

The show is a coming-of-age story that centers around a group of residents who live in the South Side of Chicago, per the synopsis. They’re all connected in some way and we follow their lives. The drama mainly focuses on Jacob Latimore as Emmett, Alex Hibbert as Kevin, Yolonda Ross as Jada, Shamon Brown Jr. as as Stanley “Papa” Jackson, Michael V. Epps as Jake, Birgundi Baker as Kiesha, Luke James as Victor “Trig” Taylor, and Curtiss Cook as Otis “Douda” Perry.

The sixth season sees our favorite characters trying to achieve big dreams, but some of them will come at a cost, per the synopsis. Each will be tested in “unimaginable ways,” as they have to think about the rewards and risks of their “next big move.” Lots and lots for the characters to think about!

The Chi season 6 release schedule on Paramount+ and Showtime

The Chi season 6 streams new episodes Fridays on Paramount+ and Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime. So there are two different days for you to choose from as to when you want to watch. The Chi season 6 premiered Friday, Aug. 4, 2023 on Paramount+ and will premiere Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023 on Showtime.

There’s a total of 16 episodes this season, with the first eight being released weekly until the eight episode on Friday, Sept. 22 on the streamer and Sunday, Sept. 24 on television. The company has not announced when the second half of the season will premiere. We provided a breakdown of the episode release schedule below:
