After what felt like a century-long wait, the movie adaptation of Red, White and Royal Blue has finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video. Fans around the world are watching the love story between Alex and Henry leap off the page, coming to life thanks to Taylor Zakhar Perez and Nicholas Galitzine.

The movie centers on the enemies-to-lovers whirlwind romance between the First Son of the United States and one of the Prince of England. That’s not complicated, right? Alex and Prince Henry had always had a tense rivalry, but one incident changes their perception of each other forever and ignites a fuse they can’t stop.

While the movie features some significant changes from Casey McQuiston’s best-selling novel, most of our favorite moments from the pages of the book are brought to life. From the wedding cake disaster to the pivotal lake house scene, it’s all in the movie to tug on our heartstrings all over again.

Another moment that fans of the book have been looking forward to is the hilarious karaoke scene, which finds Henry releasing his inhibitions and confidently taking the stage to sing a song he’s secretly dedicated to Alex. But is that really Nicholas Galitzine singing the song in the movie? Here’s the answer for those wondering if the actor can also sing.

Warning: Minor spoilers from the movie ahead!

Does Nicholas Galitzine really sing in Red, White and Royal Blue?

Yes, Nicholas Galitzine really lends his singing voice to Red, White and Royal Blue. Not only is he a very talented actor, Galitzine is also a talented singer and songwriter. He starred in the musical Cinderella remake with Camila Cabello, in which he also played a singing prince. While he posts covers on his social media, Galitzine has also released an original song of his own.

Red, White and Royal Blue finds Galitzine singing a cover of “Don’t Stop Me Now” by Queen, just like he does in McQuiston’s book. It’s a fan-favorite scene in the book because it’s one of the first times Henry truly gets to be himself and shake off his royal expectations in public. Henry sings, “I wanna make a supersonic make outta you,” while looking and pointing at Alex.

In June 2022, Nicholas Galitzine released his debut single “Comfort,” which he also co-wrote. The catchy pop ballad has garnered almost 3 million plays on Spotify. The other songs credited to his name on Spotify are from the Cinderella soundtrack. His top song is a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect” and Nico and Vinz’s “Am I Wrong.” Hopefully he releases more original songs soon!
