Chucky season 3 release updates, strike delay, cast and more

You know what they say, the best horror villains never die. One way or another, they find their way back. Will this be the case with our favorite possessed doll, Chucky? You bet! And we wouldn’t expect anything less. Here’s all we know about Chucky season 3, including an exciting new update.

In the movie franchise, Chucky never gave up. On the contrary, each time he returned, his thirst for revenge grew more. Well, he has not changed in the SYFY series. Chucky is as evil, conniving, and hilarious as ever! Now, if you’re like me, you may have been a bit skeptical going into this new series. However, it did not disappoint! Season 2 even featured cameos of OG Child’s Play favorites. Needless to say, if you’re not watching, you need to get to it before season 3 arrives. The first two seasons are streaming on Peacock.

Is a Chucky season 3 happening?

Yes! Though it wasn’t renewed right away, SYFY did order a third season of the horror-thriller. The last time we checked, season 3 was in the works, with a large part of it completed. Let’s see where things are today due to the strike.

Chucky season 3 strike delay

According to multiple sources, the cast and crew began working and filming season 3 in late April 2023, hoping to wrap up by late August 2023. However, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, production has been officially paused. But they may have filmed just enough to share the first few episodes with us.

When is Chucky season 3 coming out?

SYFY has officially announced that  Chucky season 3 premieres on SYFY and USA Network on Oct. 4. The episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays at at 9 p.m. ET. If you are not able to tune in at that time, catch the new episodes on Peacock the next day.

At the time of this writing, Chucky OG Jennifer Tilly is the only cast member confirmed to return. Tilly will reprise her role as Tiffany Valentine. Though no one else has been announced, it’s safe to assume the following stars will return:
