Who does Naian Gonzalez Norvind play in Invasion season 2?

Invasion season 2 has finally arrived and wasted no time catching up viewers on where our favorite key characters have been. The season 2 premiere also introduced fans to new characters, many of which will play an important role in the alien invasion, such as Naian Gonzalez Norvind’s Maya Castillo.

Due to Mitsuki Yamato’s (Shioli Kutsuna) knowledge and wild experience with the first phase of the alien invasion, she is recruited by Nikhil Kapur (Shane Zaza) and taken to the Amazon Rainforest. If you recall, this is the location where a giant ship is at, and billionaire Nikhil is running an operation to lean more about the alien species. There, Mitsuki meets Dr. Maya Castillo, a cognitive scientist, portrayed by Naian Gonzalez Norvind.

Who is Invasion’s Naian Gonzalez Norvind?

Dr. Castillo’s job is to analyze and study the mind of Mitsuki in order to determine if it is safe for her to attempt opening a line of communication with the mysterious creatures. Mitsuki is not Dr. Castillo’s first study, though, we learn there have been several others who have tried and failed.

From what we’ve seen so far, Maya Castillo is incredibly intelligent, kind, and actually does care about her patients. We can’t wait to learn more about her. In the meantime, here’s what we do know about the actress.

Naian Gonzalez Norvind is a Mexican actress from Mexico City, Mexico. Norvind is also of Finnish and Russian descent through her grandmother, Norwegian-Mexican actress, Eva Norvind. Fun fact! Naian Gonzalez Norvind’s grandmother Eva is the daughter of Russian prince Paul Vernstad née Chegodayef Sakonsky.

In addition to Invasion, Norvind has also starred in Pena Ajena, Amsterdam, Sex, Shame and Tears 2, among other project. Invasion on Apple TV+ is Norvind’s biggest role to date.
