UPDATE: We finally have an official date for when we will see new episodes of Rick and Morty again. Mark down the date — season 7 premieres on Oct. 15 at 11 p.m. ET, only on Adult Swim.

Fans watch Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty for the nonsense and laughs. But hearing no news about season 7 sure did scare us! Luckily, we have exciting updates to share with you all!

If you haven’t been paying attention, due to allegations against series co-creator Justin Roiland, the fate of season 7 is looking grim. A word we don’t typically associate with the animated series. To quickly recap without going into major details, Adult Swim cut ties with Roiland after domestic-abuse charges surfaced.

Roiland’s attorney continues to work on proving his client’s innocence, but Adult Swim waits for no one! The show must go on, but there will be a handful of changes.

Will there be a Ricky and Morty season 7?

Yes, absolutely! As we state above, the show is going on. A seventh season is coming, and I’m sure all eyes will be on the upcoming season to see what changes were made.

Is there a Rick and Morty season 7 release date yet?

AUGUST 24 UPDATE: The season release date was teased last week, but now we finally have an official date for when we will see new episodes of Rick and Morty again. Mark down the date — season 7 premieres on Oct. 15 at 11 p.m. ET, only on Adult Swim.

Aug. 18 update: Folks, we have a release date AND a trailer (sorta)! Well…we know when a release date is coming. Via Rick and Morty‘s official social media account, Adult Swim shares that the season 7 premiere date will be revealed “next week.”

No. But it’s not like it has been a terribly long wait so far. Even with the issues and recasting, season 7 should be here very soon. Season 6 aired its final episode on Dec. 11, 2022, so it hasn’t even been a year since we last saw Rick and Morty take on a new adventure.

According to sources such as ComicBook, season 7 should premiere by the end of 2023. Last season premiered in September, so we’re thinking season 7 will also get the fall release date treatment. We’ll keep you posted!

Rick and Morty season 7 trailer features new voice actors

AUGUST 18 UPDATE: Okay, so it’s more of a teaser than a trailer, but it reveals so much. We know what season 7 will focus on, and, we get to hear Rick and Morty’s new voices.

Rick and Morty season 7 cast

Now, for the biggest change yet, the recasting of Roiland’s characters. The source shares that the Smith family is staying the same:

  • Chris Parnell as Jerry Smith
  • Spencer Grammer as Summer Smith
  • Sarah Chalke as Beth Smith and Space Beth

As for the main voices of the show, Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith will no longer be voiced by Roiland. The main character’s voices has not yet been announced.

How many episodes are in Rick and Morty season 7?

An official episode count has not yet been released, but we are betting it’ll be 10 episodes. All previous seasons (with the exception of the first season, which includes 11 episodes) have featured 10 episodes. That said, 10 episodes is a good guess.

Where can you stream Rick and Morty online?

At the time of this writing, all six seasons of the animated series are streaming on Hulu. To watch, you’ll need a Hulu account. This is a great option for those who are not caught up on all the episodes or simply want to catch up on all of their favorites.
