Last Thursday night, the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles faced off on Thursday Night Football in a game that did not fail to deliver from start to finish!

While the Eagles ended up picking up the win, the Vikings put up a valiant fight giving fans an incredible game that kept audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish. The game was a perfect follow-up from the Week 1 shocker between the Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions which was also a tight contest.

Needless to say, the Thursday night games have been some of the best of the season thus far and we fully expect this evening’s Week 3 matchup to be another can’t-miss game!

Who’s playing, when will the game kickoff and how can you watch? Read on as we break down everything there is to know about this evening’s Thursday Night Football game.

Who plays Thursday Night Football Week 3? (Who plays football tonight?)

  • Matchup: New York Giants vs. San Francisco 49ers
  • Location: Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California

This Thursday night, the NFL has lined up yet another amazing game for Thursday Night Football as the undefeated San Francisco 49ers take on the New York Giants at home. In the first two weeks of the season, the 49ers have looked unstoppable emerging as one of the most dominant teams in the league this season. They’ll be looking to keep their undefeated streak alive this week by taking down the Giants, who are looking to keep the momentum from Week 2 going.

After being shut out in their Week 1 game against the Dallas Cowboys, the Giants staged an impressive comeback against the Arizona Cardinals to get their first win of the season. The Giants will need to keep the pace against the 49ers as it’ll be much harder to dig themselves out of a hole against the 49ers, though in primetime you never know what might unfold!
