Indiana Jones 5 gets disappointing Disney Plus release update

If you’ve been looking forward to streaming Indiana Jones 5 on Disney Plus, we have some bad news for you via the latest updates from Disney.

With October fast approaching, Disney has released the list of titles coming to Disney Plus across the month of October. There are some truly amazing additions set to begin streaming on Disney Plus this October including the new season of Loki; however, there is one major glaring omission from the October release schedule: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny. 

Despite having been released in theaters at the end of June, Indiana Jones 5 remains without a Disney Plus streaming release date. The movie’s exclusion from the October list has fans wondering when Disney might finally look to bring the Harrison Ford-led film to its streaming catalog, which is more than understandable.

After all, Elemental released just two weekends before Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and is already streaming on Disney Plus, so what’s up with the delayed release of the latest Indiana Jones movie?

Indiana Jones 5 Disney Plus streaming release date predictions

While Disney has yet to announce a streaming release date for Indiana Jones 5 on Disney Plus, we have a strong feeling that the movie will be coming to Disney Plus sooner than many might be expecting. In fact, despite the movie’s omission from the Disney Plus October streaming calendar, we have a sneaking suspicion the movie could still be released on Disney Plus sometime during the month of October.

As fans might recall, Elemental was left off the Disney Plus September streaming highlights list which led many to believe the movie would not be coming that month. Then in a surprising twist, Disney dropped the movie at the beginning of the month announcing its arrival in a standalone announcement.

Could Disney be planning on doing the same thing with Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? There is definitely a strong chance that could be the plan. After all, the movie is another major blockbuster and we’re sure Disney will try to hype its streaming release up date.

It’s also possible that Disney might look to release Indiana Jones 5 on Disney Plus at the top of November in taking a similar approach to how it handled the release of The Little Mermaid. The Little Mermaid‘s streaming release date was announced shortly after the movie was omitted from the August streaming calendar with the film coming the first weekend of September instead.

This is all to say we’re pretty certain Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be coming to Disney Plus in the next month or two. The biggest question will just be how long Disney will make fans wait to enjoy the movie on Disney Plus!
