Yellowstone made its CBS debut on Sunday, Sept. 17. A new audience, and longtime fans, were pulled into the story of the Duttons from the beginning as the threat to their land under John Dutton’s leadership began.

“Daybreak,” the 90 minute series premiere, set the scene and introduced us to the players. From political figures to development shot callers, there are few souls whose eyes don’t shine bright when thinking of what they can do with the staggering acreage that belongs to a singular family in Montana.

In his effort to deter encroachment on his land and the taking of his livestock, the Dutton patriarch went to extreme measures and in the process lost his son. Tonight, we’ll be returned to the series in the aftermath of said tragedy. Looking to tune in? Here’s everything you need to know!

What time is Yellowstone tonight on CBS?

The network’s Yellowstone block starts at 8 p.m. ET tonight. As a reminder, if you miss the night’s episodes, you won’t be able to stream them on Paramount+ via on-demand or next day streaming options the service offers subscribers. How long is Yellowstone tonight on CBS?

Like last week Yellowstone will air for a two hour block. However, instead of one episode airing, it’ll be two. Episode 2, “Kill the Messenger,” and episode 3, “No Good Horses,” are set to air starting at 8 p.m. Even if programming runs over because of a scheduled NFL game, the series will air when 60 Minutes finishes airing. We’ll update this post if Yellowstone‘s episodes’ get a new airtime.

What is Yellowstone episode 2 about?

“Kill the Messenger” takes place after the tragedy the Duttons’ have suffered during the land dispute that saw Lee losing his life at the hands of Robert, Kayce’s brother-in-law, and Robert dying at Kayce’s hands.

The family must now deal with the potential repercussions from the dust-up over cattle and the rerouting of a river to discourage the building of a housing development. In order to get ahead of the situation, John calls in a favor and collects on old debts while Jamie does damage control by meeting with Governor Lynelle Perry.

When does Yellowstone season 1 episode 4 air on CBS?

You can anticipate another two episodes to air on Sunday, Oct. 1 starting at 8 p.m. ET. Episode 4, “The Long Black Train,” and episode 5, “Coming Home,” mark the halfway point of season 1. The first season of Yellowstone has a total of nine episodes.
