The Golden Bachelor 2023: How many women are on The Golden Bachelor?

The Golden Bachelor is set to make its mark on Thursday, Sept. 28. It’s a new venture in the Bachelor franchise but, as always, love is on everyone’s minds. The participants, however, are all 60 and up as the Bachelor taking center stage–Gerry Turner–is a 72 year old retiree ready to hang up his single’s hat and find love once again.

The restaurateur isn’t unfamiliar with a once in a lifetime connection with someone. He’d married his high school sweetheart, Toni, and the two had 43 wonderful years together before she passed in 2017. Now, Gerry’s ready to open his heart again and he’s hoping that he’ll find a woman that sets it on fire with her vibrant personality and passion for life.

This iteration of the hit formula that launched Bachelor Nation is only an hour long each week so, of course, longtime fans of the franchise are wondering how many women will be wooing Gerry in The Golden Bachelor. Here’s what we know!

How many women are on The Golden Bachelor?

Compared to its predecessor, the number of ladies on The Golden Bachelor is less but it’s not by much. There are 22 women looking to find a place in Gerry’s heart. Their ages range from 60-75, there’s a mix of retirees and contestants who are still working, as well as divorcees and widows. What they have in common is the way they all light up a room and are unapologetically themselves. Check out their intro video below to see what we mean:

Like with all Bachelor franchise shows, there are participants who truly are looking for love and those who simply want to give the series a try on the off chance that maybe they will connect with the season’s lead. The same is the case for The Golden Bachelor. Will there be a villain? You never know! Though these ladies are in their golden years that doesn’t mean there won’t be personality clashes and dust-ups especially as Gerry starts narrowing down who he can see sharing a life with and who he’s missing a spark with on the show.
