The Bachelor franchise returned in time for fall TV on ABC and giving us two new seasons to enjoy starting this September. The show taking the 8:00 p.m. ET time slot every Thursday night is a brand-new one this year, with 72-year-old Gerry Turner giving love another shot. The Golden Bachelor is a new spinoff of the dating show franchise, which sees ladies in their senior years compete for love and Gerry’s final rose.

We already knew this show would probably look a little different compared to The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but we honestly didn’t anticipate how wholesome and sweet it would be! Gerry had 22 lovely ladies vying for his attention in the premiere, and we’ve fallen in love with them week after week. Now, Gerry is down to just two ladies: Theresa Nist and Leslie Fhima. Who does he choose in the finale on Thursday, Nov. 30? We have the answer and more!

If you’re looking for spoilers, then you’re in luck. Let’s get into the Reality Steve spoilers (including the winner!), along with everything you should know about the series’ lead.

What you should know about Gerry Turner

The Golden Bachelor stars 72-year-old Gerry Turner, a retired restaurateur living in Indiana. Looking for love after loss, Gerry is putting himself out there with the support of his children and grandchildren, some of whom we’ll get to meet on the show. Sadly, Gerry lost his wife Toni in 2017 after 43 years together. They met and fell in love when they were in high school. Her loss was devastating for the family, and now, six years later, Gerry is looking to find happiness once more.

According to his bio page on ABC, Gerry lives in his “dream” lake house and can frequently be found hosting barbeques and spending time with loved ones at local restaurants. He supports Chicago sports teams and enjoys playing pickleball, as well as four-wheeling. Daring! It sure seems like Gerry is athletic and loves to stay active.

In an interview with The New York Times ahead of the season, Gerry discussed his decision to join the show, reminding readers that: “People my age still fall in love. People my age still have hope, and they still have vigorous lives.” The profile really proves his intentions going into the show, as he’s really truly looking for love and not fame.

"“I don’t know what it means to be a ‘grandzaddy’ and I don’t know what ‘rizz’ is, and I really don’t know what it means to be trending,” Gerry says. “All those things are kind of immaterial to me. They don’t matter.”"

Reality Steve spoilers for The Golden Bachelor

It wouldn’t be a new Bachelor spinoff without spoilers, would it? TV guru Reality Steve had some of the biggest leaks heading into The Golden Bachelor. And while he didn’t give us the complete play-by-play of every episode and rose ceremony like he usually does, he did know the final three and final two ahead of the season. Closer to the finale, he then revealed the winner.

If you’ve been watching the show, you’ll know that Faith Martin, Leslie Fhima, and Theresa Nist made it to the final three. Reality Steve confirmed that before the show premiered.

Faith, Leslie, and Theresa made it to hometowns this season, and after Gerry visited their friends and family, he sent Faith home. Reality Steve reported on this also, and that came true. Hometowns were filmed towards the end of August. Reality Steve said that Theresa and Leslie were set to meet Gerry’s family in Costa Rica around the end of August/early September.

Reality Steve also noted ahead of time that the potential fantasy suites may happen during the Costa Rica trip, something Gerry already confirmed might look “different” than the overnight dates on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Now that we know fantasy suites are over, we know Reality Steve was correct. Gerry ended up spending the night with both Leslie and Theresa, and told them both that they were the one for him. Not great, Gerry!

So what happens this week during the finale? Well, the winner is Theresa Nist! Reality Steve confirmed the news on social media, also reporting that Gerry and Theresa are engaged. Given that information, we are led to believe Gerry and Theresa are still together today. But you never know what could happen during the After The Final Rose special on Thursday.

In an interview with Us Weekly, host Jesse Palmer teased what fans can expect from The Golden Bachelor finale, talking about how emotional the last episode was when Gerry and Faith reunited during the Women Tell All.

“I mean, if that was any indicator of what this is going to be, I think this will be the most emotional AFR that the franchise has ever seen,” Palmer shared. “I really believe it.”

We can expect many, many tears from Leslie when she isn’t chosen in the end, and I’m sure even more from Gerry.

Don’t miss The Golden Bachelor‘s two-hour finale this Thursday, Nov. 30 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The three-hour finale of Bachelor in Paradise season 9 will premiere next week on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 8:00 p.m. ET to 11:00 p.m. ET.
