Kitchen Nightmares season 8 episode 2 features Bask 46, a restaurant in New Jersey that Chef Gordon Ramsay is trying to help turn around. Did he succeed? Is the business still open today? Here’s what we know!

Who else has fond memories of watching Kitchen Nightmares with the family? Gordon Ramsay has so many shows, but this reality competition show is definitely our favorite! We’re so glad FOX brought it back.

Unfortunately, not every restaurant Ramsay helps out is a success story. Ramsay does all he can and leaves the restaurant with the advice and tools necessary to continue his good work. But once Ramsay is out the door, it’s all up to the owners and their crew. For this reason, it does not end well each time.

One thing we love to do, and I know audiences do, too, is to look up the restaurants Ramsay is renovating. In the early seasons of the show, looking up a restaurant wasn’t as easy as it is today. But now, everything is a quick Google search away. So when it comes to Bask 46 being open today or not, we’ve done the research so you don’t have to!

Is Bask 46 from Kitchen Nightmares still open?

The short answer is YES! Bask 46 in Woodland Park, New Jersey, is still open for business. And it’s not only still open, but, from what we’ve seen, it is thriving! Check them out online HERE. This looks like THE place to be if you ever visit that part of New Jersey. In fact, if you do happen to be in the area, Bask 46 is hosting a watch party, complete with a special menu!

Did Bask 46 change their menu after Kitchen Nightmares?

The menu is one of the most important things about a restaurant. It’s the first thing Ramsay pays attention to and he is almost never a fan. We noticed that many of the restaurants featured on the show have way too many dishes. It’s not only overwhelming, but too much for the kitchen staff to keep up with (and to cook well). That said, how is the Bask 46 menu looking these days?

HERE is the link to the menu they share online. The current menu features over 60 options. In my humble opinion, that’s still a lot, but hey, it may be working for them. At the very least, their system has improved by a lot from what we saw on the show. That menu was a nightmare!

Does Chef Bobby still work at Bask 46?

No. Bobby is no longer the head chef at Bask 46. In fact, he is not working there at all. At the end of the episode, the status update shares that Bobby appeared to be onboard the changes, but he reportedly did not show up to work the next day.

On his Instagram, Bobby shares that Bask 46 couldn’t afford him when asked about his job there. I don’t know about you, but after watching the episode, I don’t believe this is the reason why Bobby is no longer in charge of the kitchen.
