Some positive news for fans of the long-running CBS sitcom Bob Hearts Abishola as it has been renewed for an upcoming fifth season! The series has always performed well amongst the dwindling number of multi-camera sitcoms on network television right now. When a fifth season was announced in Jan. 2023, fans of the series were able to let out a sigh of relief.

The season 1 finale premiered on CBS on May 22 and in the finale, we saw Abishola’s anxiously awaiting the response for her application to Johns Hopkins Medical School, which is simultaneously stressing Bob out, which causes him to be visited by his dead father. The finale also ended on a cliffhanger which means having a season 5 is incredibly necessary for viewers to get some closure and to see how the couple’s story is able to continue.

Post-season 4 finale, fans may be wondering what the fate of the beloved sitcom is and here at Hidden Remote, we have you covered on what you need to know regarding release updates of Bob Hearts Abishola. Read on to find out more!

How many episodes are in season 5 of Bob Hearts Abishola?

The first season of Bob Hearts Abishola ushered in 20 episodes and was considered a hit, having been renewed for another season which consisted of 18 episodes. Did the strike affect Bob Hearts Abishola?

The fifth season filming and promotion schedules have been affected by the strikes. Even though the WGA strike has ended, at the time of this writing, the SAG-AFTRA strike is still happening. This means it’s safe to say that viewers will not get to see any new episodes until at least early 2024.
