Who is Poppy on The Bold and the Beautiful?

For a woman who has only just appeared on The Bold and the Beautiful, Poppy is causing quite the stir on the soap and we haven’t even seen her outside of the room she keeps calling Luna in yet! The character has the fan base atwitter thanks to the intensity of her warnings to stay away from the Forresters that her child didn’t adhere to.

Of course, it’s left everyone wondering what the big deal is. After all Luna is simply interning at Forrester Creations but Oct. 11-12’s episodes gave us some answers. Apparently, this free-spirited character and single mother has earned her sister Li’s ire because they have vastly different personalities. Also, Poppy had an affair with a doctor at Li’s hospital years ago that flushed his reputation down the drain and nearly took Li down in the process.

That narrative reveal had my eyebrows raising and my brain speculating on whether or not Li’s anger hits a little closer to home than her sister making a poor decision with a colleague. In fact, it had me wondering if Finn and Luna are more closely related than what’s been stated on the soap, but for now they’re cousins whose lives aren’t supposed to mix.

Poppy tried to get Luna to resign from her internship before Li caught wind of it, but she was too late. Li knows and she tried to force her niece to walk away from the dream experience of working at a world renowned fashion house, but RJ interceded. It’ll be interesting to see if Luna holds tight to her conviction to working at Forrester now that she has Ridge Jr.’s support or if it’ll crumble in the face of her aunt’s continued anger and possibly her mother’s disapproval.

In the meantime, my mind is on whether or not we’ll be seeing the actress who plays Poppy make an appearance on the soap that doesn’t require her being stuck on the phone with Luna. I’d like to see her in a scene where Li comes unglued.

Romy Park is Poppy on The Bold and the Beautiful

As for the actress, Romy Park‘s turn as Poppy on The Bold and the Beautiful is her first time on a daytime soap opera. She made her return to acting on television in 2022 with an appearance on The Rookie: Feds for an episode. Prior to that she starred in the 2019 short film Time Out, was featured in the podcast series The End of the Line, and wrote and produced her own podcast called Romy and Dan’s High School Reunion Podcast which she co-hosted with Daniel Feuerriegel.

Park’s acting credits from 2005-2009 include the movie Salon and minor roles on Commander in Chief, Ghost Whisperer, and Eleventh Hour. She also appeared in the 2006 short film Solus.
