Loki cast: Guide to the Disney+ show’s cast and characters
Loki is one of the highest-rated MCU series, and it’s no wonder. The Disney+ original is one part Marvel’s best anti-hero, another part convoluted time travel, and a good helping of some very unusual self-love.
The series follows a version of Loki who stole the Tesseract and ran away in the aftermath of the Battle of New York. Because this was not supposed to happen, according to the ‘Sacred Timeline,’ he is taken in by the Time Variance Authority. However, he gets the chance to live by becoming a consultant for the agency in their attempts to capture one of his most dangerous variants.
The first season ended with a massive cliffhanger involving Sylvie, He Who Remains, and the fate of the multiverse. Despite some of the consequences of those events appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, season 2 of Loki is destined to show how complicated the multiverse can truly become.
For those who are watching and have forgotten who some of the characters are or are wondering where they know the actors from, this guide is mandatory reading. From leading roles to recurring side characters, we break them all down below.
Loki cast
Although the premise of Loki could theoretically cover the entire Marvel multiverse, the main cast is actually relatively small. The show might travel through time, but its central conflicts take place within the bounds of the TVA and their missions. With this in mind, audiences should be familiar with the characters played by Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Tara Strong, Wunmi Mosaku, and Jonathan Majors.
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
The star of Loki is the titular god of mischief, played by Tom Hiddleston. Raised alongside Thor, Loki has always felt like his destiny was just out of reach. This led to his villainous turn in the MCU, though he has repeatedly been shown to be more of an anti-hero. In Loki, Tom Hiddleston plays a version of the trickster just after the Battle of New York who was captured by the TVA. Tom Hiddleston does play other variants of Loki throughout the show, as needed.
Where have you seen him before? Though Tom Hiddleston is best known for his time in the MCU, he has also played prominent roles in Crimson Peak, The Hollow Crown, and Wallander.

Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie
Sophia Di Martino plays Sylvie, a variant of Loki who was captured by the TVA at a very young age. After escaping from the agency, she made it her mission to mess with the Sacred Timeline and fight back against its agents in revenge. She rejects being “a Loki.”
Where have you seen her before? Aside from Loki, Sophia Di Martino is best known for her roles as Amy in Flowers, Polly Emmerson in Casualty, and Gemma Pennant in The Royal Today. She is also one of the hosts of the True Spies podcast.

Owen Wilson as Mobius
Owen Wilson plays Mobius, a member of the TVA that is willing to consider nontraditional methods to succeed, including recruiting a variant of Loki to help track down Sylvie. He develops a close partnership with Loki but much of his past is still a mystery.
Where have you seen him before? Known for his iconic “wow”s, Owen Wilson has a massive filmography behind him. Some of his most famous roles are as Dignan in Bottle Rocket, Eli Cash in The Royal Tenenbaums, and John Beckwith in Wedding Crashers.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer
Gugu Mbatha-Raw plays Ravonna Renslayer, a high-ranking member of the TVA who is deeply committed to the cause. She begins the show as the judge presiding over Loki’s trial, but her role expands as she tries to understand the agency’s many lies.
What have you seen her before? Gugu Mbatha-Raw is probably best known for her leading role as Dido Elizabeth Belle in Belle, but she has also been in multiple fairytale-inspired films like the live-action Beauty and the Beast and 2020’s Come Away.

Tara Strong as Miss Minutes
Tara Strong is the voice for the TVA’s slightly-terrifying mascot. Miss Minutes helps to direct variants and workers around the TVA, but she has a more sinister side that Loki and Sylvie find as they dig deeper into the agency.
Where have you heard her before? Tara Strong is one of the most famous voice actors out there, providing the recognizable tones of characters like Bubbles from The Powerpuff Girls, Raven from Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go!, Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony, Timmy Turner from The Fairly Odd Parents, and many more.

Wunmi Mosaku as Hunter B-15

Eugene Cordero as Casey / Hunter K-5E

Loki season 2 cast: Who are the new or supporting cast members?
Season 2 of Loki continues to focus on the core cast for the most part, but there have been two major additions to the cast that fans should be aware of. These new characters allow the series to explore different sides of the TVA, which brings some much-needed depth to a show so deeply concerned with variants of the same few characters.
Ke Huy Quan as Ouroboros “OB”
Ke Huy Quan plays OB in Loki season 2, a role that allows him to have a lot of fun with tech talk. Although technically a repair guy, OB developed most of the TVA’s technology and knows how everything else works.
Where have you seen him before? Ke Huy Quan is most famous for his role as Data in The Goonies, but he recently returned to acting to play Waymond Wang in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
