Updated: Oct. 30, 2023 – Darin Brooks officially announced his departure from The Bold and the Beautiful on Oct. 19 via his Instagram. Read his heartfelt message, here.

The Bold and the Beautiful‘s opening credits have once again been freshened up to make room for more of the cast. Rena Sofer, who played Quinn Fuller from 2013-2022, has been removed since she left the show a year ago. Lisa Yamada is now a part of the opening, she made her debut as Luna on the soap in September. Joshua Hoffman, the latest RJ Forrester, has new pictures. Naomi Matsuda, who plays Dr. Li Finnegan, has been added to the credits. But there was a noticeable removal that has fans raising their eyebrows.

Darin Brooks, who has starred on the soap as Wyatt Spencer since 2013, no longer has a presence in the opening credits. While it’s true that Brooks hasn’t been seen as much as we’d like on the daytime program, there’s been no indication that we should be preparing for an exit. Sure, Wyatt has been acting more as a sounding board for Liam and Bill Spencer’s plots, but we’ve been holding out hope that soon we’ll see Brooks get his own storyline. So has the actor left? Here’s what we know.

Is Darin Brooks leaving The Bold and the Beautiful?

It doesn’t seem like it. There’s been no word that Darin Brooks is exiting or has exited The Bold and the Beautiful. And, while it’s not uncommon for soap actors to be quietly written out with no official word of their departure, that may not be the case for Brooks.

In an Oct. 8 repost on X (formerly known as Twitter), Brooks engaged with the official account for the soap which was showcasing team names and football helmets for the program’s prominent families. Brooks proudly claimed the title of a Spencer Stallion.

So, while his absence from the opening credits is glaring to the audience, hopefully it doesn’t mean we’ll be saying goodbye to the soap star on The Bold and the Beautiful anytime soon. In the meantime Brooks does have three upcoming projects, the comedy Hildo, the action drama Runaway, and the horror Rockland Heights. All three films are in pre-production. Filming, however, won’t start unless they have interim agreements with SAG-AFTRA as the actors strike is still ongoing.
