Bob’s Burgers: The Pickleorette is an episode for sisters

Bob’s Burgers is one of those shows where the main characters can be together or apart yet the episode is still good.

Coming into Season 14, there have only been 2 episodes thus far and it’s been pretty solid thus far so let’s hope the good vibes keep going with “The Pickleorette.” With an episode title like that, there’s no telling who or what the episode will entail. Regardless, it’s sure to be another fun one for the Belchers so I won’t talk too much longer.

If you haven’t watched “The Pickleorette,” then there will be spoilers from this point on.

Missed Bob’s Burgers? Here’s what happened in “The Pickleorette”

The episode starts with the Belcher family having breakfast together and Linda sharing that she accidentally burned one of Gretchen’s styling books. On the way to school, the kids find a board game but Tina’s the only one who is interested.

Gretchen decides to tell Linda that the way to pay her back is by asking Nat to chauffeur them to her sister’s bachelorette party. Nat’s out of town so she tells Linda to drive them around and things get worse as Gretchen forgot to send the invites. Linda decides to come along and bring Gayle but only if Bob drives the limo for them.

The trend continues as Tina ends up being in charge and Gretchen wants Bob to not be Linda’s husband and just the limo driver which is great as Gretchen and her sister are having fun. At home, the kids are playing the Veterinarian game and Tina’s having a bad time. Once everyone gets to the restaurant, Bob shares that Pickles is closed and Linda comes up with a plan to have the strippers come to Bob’s Burgers.

The girls are having fun at dinner and getting excited for Pickles. Bob tries to get the strippers to dance for them but doesn’t get an answer. Gretchen suggests Bob strip for her so they end up at the restaurant and Tina wants to watch the stripper party from the ceiling. Gretchen fesses up everything that went wrong to her sister and Linda explains that big sisters aren’t perfect so little sisters know it’s okay. The episode ends with the strippers showing up and doing their tea routine.

”The Pickleorette” is a look at the love between two sisters

When it comes to Bob’s Burgers, sisters are a huge part of the series. Whether we’re talking about Louise and Tina or Linda and Gayle, there is no shortage of stories featuring them. That’s why I was so excited to meet Gretchen’s sister and see that she’s basically everything we all knew she would be.

What stood out most in the episode was how much all of the sisters loved each other. Gretchen did everything she could to make her sister’s bachelorette party fun. Even though the night didn’t go as expected, she did everything in her power to make sure her sister had a good time. The same can be said about Tina and Louise as Louise gave Tina a compliment after the horrible board game experience.

Of course, there’s not much to say about Linda and Gayle but those two are interesting. Even so, the episode was a lot funnier and less serious than the first two episodes. Sometimes, it’s nice to mix it up so I’m glad to see Bob’s Burgers is doing that early in the season.
