On today’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Chelsea returns to Genoa City, Wisconsin, where she greets Billy in this soap’s beautiful outdoor setting, Chancellor Park.

Devoted viewers know Melissa Claire Egan and her husband welcomed their second son in July. So, her character was temporarily written away from GC. She left with her son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), weeks ago. He wanted to enroll in a boarding school that specializes in anxiety issues and is near his maternal grandmother, Anita. Billy and Chelsea became close before her departure, he stayed true to her, and their bond remains intact.

This reunion happened because Connor told his mom it was okay if she went home after he settled in at school. Chelsea and Billy spend romantic time alone in her apartment and he shares his concerns about Jack, Tucker and Kyle. Chelsea references handling issues at Marchetti.

What happened today on The Young and the Restless?

A pairing of friends, Mariah and Kyle, meet at Society where Camryn Grimes’ character talks nervously about the potential effectiveness of Aria’s hearing aids. Kyle reassures Mariah and also mentions his desire to return to his job at Jabot. Billy challenges Kyle soon thereafter.

It’s hard to accept that Kyle would so quickly abandon Summer and then follow that by intending to betray Jack. Viewers are asked to believe that the scorned husband angle and Audra’s intense allure are enough to cause Kyle to become so reckless. This storyline needs to be righted and if it is not, this change in direction needs to result in serious consequences.

The effects of Kyle’s coldness are seen in Summer’s reaction to Chloe’s presentation of spring fashion sketches at Marchetti. Summer’s sharp-elbowed reaction is due to her personal life strife. Later, Chloe fills in for Chelsea, who is tasked with smoothing Summer’s feathers.

Meanwhile, Adam should be basking in the afterglow of reconnecting with Sally in her Genoa City Athletic Club suite. But Mark Grossman’s character is the classic doomed man on this show. When Adam is summoned to work by Nate, Sally begins to deal with the impact of reuniting with the man she always loved more than Nick.

Circling back to Chancellor Park, Victor will further his ruse by seemingly pretending not to know why he met Nate there. Sean Dominic’s character will tell Victor he needs to meet with a doctor and also reinforce that his children are increasingly concerned about him. The mustache will say his children were trained to be ruthless and he can not trust them.

While the Newman family is manipulated, Nate is being lied to and set up. The former doctor’s offer to refer the renewed head of Newman Enterprises to a specialist appeared to be heartfelt because he is Victor and Nikki’s former concierge doctor. Nate does not know he was sworn to secrecy so that Victoria’s devotion can be assessed and his loyalty tested. His offer to connect Victor with a doctor means he could avoid an examination or pay off the examiner.

Nick and Victoria will cross paths with Adam, who is heading to Newman Enterprises. The battling siblings discuss Victor, and Adam volunteers that he wants their father to see a doctor. When Grossman’s character leaves, Nick and Victoria will discuss their ongoing confusion about Victor’s real plan.
