Gen V season 2 release updates and everything else we know
Gen V just wrapped up its first season in a bold way that sets up a bigger season 2! But when could it reach viewers and what could it involve? Here’s what we know!

After a season of discovering the dark truth behind Godolkin University (that it wasn’t to train supes but use them as Vought puppets), the self-professed “Guardians of Godolkin” split. While Marie, Jordan, Andrew and Emma wanted to expose this, Cate and Sam decided to go ahead and attack.
Freeing all the prisoners in the Woods labs, Cate and Sam led a brutal massacre of any non-super person on campus. Marie summoned her powers to stop Cate just as Homelander (Anthony Starr) showed up…and blasted Marie for “fighting your own kind.”
Marie woke up in a white room along with Jordan, Emma and Andre. Worse, Vought sold the media the story that the four were the ones behind the massacre and Cate and Sam were the heroes who stopped them.
That was a big cliffhanger, so when can season 2 of Gen V continue the story?
Will Gen V get a second season?
As it happens, fans don’t have to worry about a renewal, as Prime Video announced the show was getting a second season just a few weeks after the season 1 renewal. That should be of little surprise, given it’s meant to back up The Boys and build on this unique universe.
Cast
It’s likely the entire main cast of season 1 returns, although there will probably be some new additions for other students. Obviously, Shetty is dead, but hopefully, the rest can come back to continue this story.

Premiere window predictions
It’s likely Gen V season 2 won’t reach Prime Video until 2025. Not only will it be delayed because of the impact of the writers and actors strike on the industry but also The Boys Season 4 will come first, and its plotlines will no doubt play into Gen V season 2. So, while it will be a wait, fans can be assured Gen V is coming back for a new year of excitement and make for another big entry in the world of The Boys.
