It’s a Wonderful Knife hits theaters on Nov. 10, making it a perfect, horrifying watch for the holiday season. But if you’d rather skip watching it with your fellow moviegoers to view the film from the comfort of your home, you’re in luck! Per Collider, the movie will be available to stream on Shudder come December 22, just in time for Christmas.

There’s been a push in the last few years for clever horror movie mashups of slasher movies with other fun film ideas and tropes. Happy Death Day and its sequel had them with Groundhog Day-style time loops. Freaky mixed it was a classic body swap idea. More recently, Totally Killer put a time-travel comedy spin on things.

Now comes It’s a Wonderful Knife, written by Freaky writer Michael Kennedy and directed by Tyler MacIntyre, which is another idea you’re amazed hasn’t been used before: A slasher film take on Frank Capra’s all-time holiday classic.

A year ago, Winnie Carruthers (Jane Widdop) saved her idyllic town of Angel Falls from the masked Angel, who turned out to be supposedly kindly town mayor Henry Waters (Justin Long). While hailed as a hero, Winnie still mourns her best friend killed by the Angel and is annoyed that everyone else in town has moved on with their lives. She thus muses it might have been better for everyone if she was never born.

Faster than you can say, “George Bailey,” Winnie finds herself in a world where she never existed. The first effect is that without Winnie there to stop him, the Angel has continued his murder spree with dozens more victims and Angel Falls is now a nightmare of a town.

The good news is, Winnie knows who the Angel is. The bad news is that no one believes this apparent stranger that the mayor is the murderer. Now, Winnie has to stop the Angel in hopes it helps her get her life back.

It’s a Wonderful Knife won’t be streaming anywhere else but Shudder in December so if you don’t have a subscription, you can sign-up for a seven day free trial. Plans start at $5.99/month.
