Is El Cantito from Kitchen Nightmares still open?

This week, Gordon Ramsay and the Kitchen Nightmares crew travel to Yonkers, New York, to visit the restaurant El Cantito. Is the Puerto Rican spot still open for business or is El Cantito closed? Here’s what we know.

Gordon Ramsay is stepping in to help a sibling duo from drowning in their failing business. El Cantito is a family-owned Puerto Rican restaurant, and the owners are struggling to pay their bills. Pressure and stress is at an all-time high, will Ramsay be able to help out? Remember, Ramsay can only do so much, it’s up to the staff and owners to keep up with everything the Kitchen Nightmares crew has taught them.

So far, this season of Kitchen Nightmares has only seen one restaurant that is no longer in business, and that’s Love Bites. But known to feature more wins and fails, fans know it could go either way. Spoilers ahead!

Is El Cantito from Kitchen Nightmares still open?

Yes! Great news for everyone in the Yonkers area and those who want to visit another Kitchen Nightmares location, El Cantito Cafe is still open and welcoming guests.

A local news source shares that Ramsay and his crew gave the restaurant a makeover and simplified the menu. As far as we know (at the time of this writing), business is blooming. The source also reports that El Cantito Cafe opened in March 2020, right before the pandemic so, understandably, coming back from it has not been easy. We’re happy to learn that the FOX reality show has been able to help.

El Cantito’s social media presence is not the best. They were not easy to track down, which is why audiences were confused about the current status of the restaurant. Their social media pages have not been updated since March, and I could not find a website for the restaurant.
