We’ve finally got a premiere date for The Way Home season 2! The popular Hallmark original series debuts its new season on Sunday, Jan. 21, 2024 at 9 p.m. ET. We can’t wait to return to Port Haven, especially since we know we won’t be dealing with a time skip.

Deadline reports season 2 will pick up where season 1 finale left off. As a refresher, the show’s freshman run ended with Kat telling Del that she knows what happened to Jacob. This revelation is the catalyst for the sophomore season’s overall plot. Kat intends on finding her brother and bringing him home. This quest, however, is going to challenge her and her mother’s knowledge of their origins. So, while they will come upon answers they’ve been seeking, they’ll also stumble across new questions that need resolving.

Sadie Laflamme-Snow, who plays Alice in The Way Home, wasn’t mentioned in the synopsis, however, she will be returning for the second season. The cast is as follows:

  • Chyler Leigh as Kat Landry
  • Andie MacDowell as Del Landry
  • Sadie Laflamme-Snow as Alice Dhawan
  • Evan Williams as Elliot Augustine
  • Al Mukadam as Brady Dhawan
  • Jefferson Brown as Colton Landry
  • Alex Hook as Teen Kat
  • Siddharth Sharma as Teen Brady
  • David Webster as Teen Elliott

As you can see from the teaser, something goes horribly wrong when Alice and Kat jump into the pond together in search of more answers about Jacob. While Kat is able to travel, Alice is pushed back out. But instead of traveling to the ’90s, Kat is dropped into the 1800s. This plot is what opens the door for the Landry’s origins to come into question. It’s clear though that the more they dig, the more Kat’s determined to get to Jacob even if it starts bordering on obsession.

An episode count hasn’t been announced for season 2 though it’ll likely have a total of 10 episodes like the first season. If you’re behind on The Way Home you can stream the series on Peacock. While season 2 is airing, new episodes will release Mondays on the streamer. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for TV news and coverage!
