Family Switch lands on Netflix this week. Here’s what else is new (Nov. 27)
By Ricky Valero
There is nothing worse than a Monday after a long holiday, so I refuse to say Happy Monday to all of you. Like we do each and every week, we’re sharing all the best Netflix movies and shows debuting beginning the week of Nov. 27, 2023.
The Squid Game: The Challenge was a much-talked-about series in the Valero household over the holidays with five episodes dropping. The second batch of episodes are releasing on the 29th with us inching closer to finding out who is going to win. How many people will remain as we head into the finale should be interesting to watch unfold.
New Netflix movies and shows to watch this week
- American Symphony, Nov. 29
- Obliterated, Nov. 30
- Family Switch, Nov. 30
Hands down the biggest surprise of 2023 is the newest series from the creators of Cobra Kai, Obliterated. The series reminds me of The Expendables, which kicked up about 500 notches with a Rated-R twist. It’s raunchy, over-the-top, and filled with some fun action. I can’t recommend checking this show out enough because I loved it.
Ed Helms and Jennifer Garner star Bill and Jess Walker in the Netflix original movie Family Switch. Bill and Jess are doing their best to keep the family connected as their children become older and independent. An encounter with an astrological reader leads to the family having a full-body switch. The pressure is on each family member as they have important meetings and must pull it off for one another. The film is based on the book by Amy Krouse-Rosenthal, “Bedtime For Mommy.”
The recent winner of multiple Critics Choice Documentary awards, American Symphony follows the story of Jon Batiste. It follows the musician as he begins his most challenging task to date, composing an original symphony. Check this one out as it is hands down one of my favorite documentaries of the year.
From our suggestions, what will you be watching? Are you excited about Family Switch? Or will you be checking out Obliterated with me? Let us know, and let’s hope next week brings us more Netflix additions.
