On Wednesday, Nov. 22’s episode of The Young and the Restless, Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) told Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) intentions were not sinister. Gloria Abbott Bardwell (Judith Chapman) detailed her criminal exploits in Singapore at a family Thanksgiving feast Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) hosted at Society. Thursday, Nov. 23’s episode was a repeat from 1993, and no episode was shown on Friday, Nov. 24 due to college football.

Also, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) convinced Tucker to meet her for drinks in hopes of Devon joining them. Momentum can allow Devon to overcome his understandable suspicions about his father. Meeting in the Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) jazz lounge is purposeful because Ashley hopes Devon’s adoptive father’s resonance influences healing.

The contrast between Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wiping his wife’s slate clean and his intractable stance on Tucker remains a stand-out. Bergman’s character does not realize that his attitude partially drives Ashley to give Tucker ongoing consideration. While she may never reconcile with him, her attempts to broker a truce with Devon reinforce that she cares about Tucker. Ashley’s complex relationship with her mother, Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), is a significant factor, but it is not the only one.

The Young and the Restless spoilers at a glance (per Soaps She Knows):

  • Monday, Nov. 27: Claire Grace’s (Hayley Erin) tale to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) comes true as Jordan (Colleen Zenk) welcomes the Newman family to Redmond, Oregon. Victor (Eric Braeden), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) believed they were rushing to see Nikki but learned that they were fooled as Jordan and Claire enlightened their revealed targets with poison on the menu.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 28: The drama unfolds as Victor and the children fight back. Nikki and Jordan tangle, with Thomas Scott’s inebriated state seemingly disadvantaging her.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 29: Victor needs to defend Nikki against Jordan’s attack. The characters Zenk and Erin play believe they have the upper hand against the Newmans, who they perceive to be deserving of vengeance.
  • Thursday, Nov. 30: Jack tries to maintain a semblance of order at Jabot as he deals with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) offers relationship advice to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), while Abby Newman Abbott (Melissa Ordway) explores the prickly subject of Tucker with Ashley.
  • Friday, Dec. 1: Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has been considering a career change, and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is teased to help him decide. Ashley feels compelled to help maintain order, and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) challenges Kyle.

The Newman family arrives at a horror house on The Young and the Restless.

The Newman family feels the twist on Monday, Nov. 27. Claire shamelessly pretended to be an admirer of Nikki and her family. But, as the Newman family is learning, her act was driven by a demented aunt who is bent on revenge. It feels like Jordan is either the presumed late Eve Howard’s (Margaret Mason) sister or Zenk is the recast of this resurrected character.

A soapy battle ensues on Tuesday, Nov. 28. The audience must sense that Jordan will provide context about her revenge plan which should also include defining Claire’s connection to what could be multiple characters. Why else was a rebroadcast of a 1993 episode that focused on Eve and had Victor denying he was the father of her child, Cole Howard (with J. Eddie Peck reviving his now-adult character)? Erin’s name in the show’s credits with the other regular characters could mean that viewers are told her true identity on Wednesday, Nov. 29, or move closer to the truth. The Y&R teaser video includes Nick being stabbed by Jordan.

Kyle’s return to Jabot is an initially humble act. He accepted the Chief Operating Officer spot his father had been encouraging him to take. Billy rightly sensed ulterior motives, meaning a long-term play was afoot, with Jack preparing for the expanded executive suite on Thursday, Nov. 30. Diane and Abby try to look out for Kyle and Ashley, respectively, with messy matters of the heart being challenging to negotiate.

It will be surprising if Chance does not decide to leave the force on Friday, Dec. 1. His decision could lead to a new job at Chancellor-Winters, whether Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is eventually able to retain her piece of that company. Sharon’s link to Chance is less tenuous than Audra’s hold over Kyle, but this is daytime, where fortunes can be reversed in one episode.

Next. Mamie’s plan is advanced on Thanksgiving (Young and the Restless Nov. 22 recap). dark
