3 reasons why Max is a must-have in 2024
With streaming costs to Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Max, Peacock, and others increasing over the past year, more people are starting to cut back on their subscriptions and be more strategic in choosing which platforms to keep.
And with many seasons of popular shows being delayed because of the dual strikes against the AMPTP in 2023, it makes sense that fans are reassessing their current subscription plans. But in 2024, Max is a must-have for film and television lovers. Here are three reasons why Max is a must-have in 2024.
1. New seasons of hit shows
Though many television series had to halt production during the 2023 entertainment industry strikes, one of its most popular series was able to continue because its actors are part of the United Kingdom’s acting union. Because of this, House of the Dragon Season 2 will be coming to the streaming service in Summer 2024.
In addition to new episodes of the popular Game of Thrones spin-off series, it’s also expected that the platform will have new seasons of other top rated dramas and comedy series on the platform. To name a few, you can expect to find True Detective Season 4, Industry Season 3, Hacks Season 3, Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 12, The Sex Life of College Girls Season 3, and The Righteous Gemstones Season 4 on Max in 2024.
2. There are many original series coming in 2024
Along with returning series, Max also has new original series and miniseries slated for 2024. One of the first new shows coming to the platform is The Regime, a miniseries starring Kate Winslet that follows “one year within the walls of the palace of a modern European regime as it begins to unravel.”
The Sympathizer will also premiere within the first few months of 2024 and stars Robert Downey Jr. in a variety of antagonist roles. The thriller/satire show is based on a novel of the same name and “follows a communist spy toward the end of the Vietnam War, and his exile in the United States.”
Subscribers can also expect to see the release of new shows like The Batman spin-off The Penguin, the crime-triller Duster, and Dune: Prophecy, a prequel to Dune.
3. Max offers a large library of movies and new releases
With approximately 2,500 movies in its library, Max is a must-have in 2024 for movie lovers. With films available across the past several decades in multiple genres, there is truly something for everyone. And because Max is now owned by Warner Brothers, all films produced by WB are made available to stream as well.
Though streaming release dates have not been announced yet, expect to find Dune: Part Two, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Challengers, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Twisters, Beetlejuice 2, and Wonka to be just some of the new releases in 2024 available to stream on Max.
