The Strictly Come Dancing Final is just one week away. Yes, I know it’s hard to believe. The beloved BBC series returned for its twenty-first series back in September, and it’s known for being a Winter favorite, taking us all the way up to the Christmas holidays. Somehow, we are almost there, as the dancing show has once again entertained us through the final third of the year.

But you can’t compete in a final without making it through the Semi-Final, and we’ve certainly had a history-making one of those this year, as we’ve essentially had a two-week Semi-Final (due to there being no elimination in last week’s Quarter Final, and the scores from it being carried over to this week). And speaking of things coming in two, our couples had to dance two dances this week, doubling the pressure and the excitement.

Taking that into account, let’s dive into the results and discuss what happened on Saturday Night.

*** This article contains spoilers from Strictly Week 12’s Saturday Night show. If you haven’t gotten around to watching the Semi-Final, and don’t want the dances or scores to be spoiled for you, don’t read on! ***

Strictly spoilers and results: Week 12 Leaderboard

With two dances in this week’s Semi-Final, there was more excitement in the air. Ellie and Vito finally got to unveil their Couple’s Choice while also taking on the Cha Cha Cha, Layton slowed things down with a Rumba and livened them up too with a Charleston, Annabel and Johannes brought the party with a Salsa and delivered a beautiful Viennese Waltz, and Bobby and Dianne got intense with a Paso Doble and lively with a Quickstep.

There were some history-making routines, some undermarking, and some incredible moments. Let’s get into the Leaderboard.

Here are the results from the Strictly Semi-Final Saturday night show and the Leaderboard we were left with:

  • Layton and Nikita – Last week (40) + This week (36 + 40)  = 116
  • Ellie and Vito – Last week (36) + This week (37 + 38) = 111
  • Bobby and Dianne – Last week (34) + This week (38 + 35) = 107
  • Annabel and Johannes – Last week (33) + This week (32 + 33) = 98

Who is in danger on Strictly Week 12?

With just four couples left, the Leaderboard is tighter than ever tonight. That means the public vote is even more important. There are no ties on the Leaderboard, which unfortunately gives the judges score more power (as a tie would favor the public vote). Taking that into account, Bobby and Annabel are in most jeopardy because they are in the bottom two of the Leaderboard.

However, here’s where things get interesting. Layton and Bobby have both been in the Dance-Off before and Annabel hasn’t, which means she is clearly very popular with the public. The horrendous underscoring of her Viennese Waltz tonight resulted in a lot of outrage from the public, so if they decide to vote for her in their droves, it could result in her being safe. And if Layton comes bottom of the public vote in that case, then he could fall from the top of the Leaderboard to meet Bobby in the Dance-Off.

Ellie is likely the safest right now, but we’ll see what happens when the public get involved.

The Strictly Come Dancing Sunday Night Results Show will air on BBC One on Sunday, December 10, at 7:20 p.m. GMT.
