The Golden Globes 2024 nominations guide: Start time, announcers and more

We are a month out from the 81st Golden Globe Awards and the nominations are set to be announced on Monday, Dec. 11. We’ve got you covered on who will announce the nominees and where you can watch the announcement. Find out all you need to know about when watching the nominations for the Golden Globes 2024.

The 81st Golden Globe nominees will be announced at 8am est/7am c. on CBS. In addition, the nominees will appear on the CBS News website. Plus, 10 exclusive categories are set to be revealed live 30 minutes after the nominees are made available online.

So far, two new categories have been announced: Cinematic and Box Office Achievement in Motion Pictures and Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television.

Who are the announcers of the Golden Globes 2024 nominees?

Comedian and The Neighborhood actor Cedric the Entertainer and NCIS star Wilmer Valderrama are slated to announce the nominees on CBS Mornings. You will also be able to find the nominees across social media for the official Golden Globes accounts.

CBS will be airing the Awards ceremony for the first time, having previously aired on NBC. The show will also be made available for streaming on Paramount+. The ceremony is scheduled to air on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 8/7c.

As for possible nominees, we will most likely see some nominations for Oppenheimer and Barbie, since both films took social media by storm upon their release. We may also likely see some nominations for the Leonardo DiCaprio film Killers of the Flower Moon.

Taraji P. Henson’s film The Color Purple recently had screenings in Los Angeles and there have been predictions that the film could also garner nominations as well based on positive reviews it has received so far. The film will get an official release in theaters on Dec. 25, 2023.
