911 actor Oliver Stark was cast in a psychological indie film that will feature the directorial debut of Samuel Goodwin. Find out what we know so far about the film, which just recently began production.

As per Deadline, Stark is among a few actors who are taking the lead role in the film Cut Your Teeth. The indie psychological thriller will follow a tight-knit group of friends who are taking part in a weekend engagement party when things go awry after a secret betrayal is revealed.

This is Stark’s first indie film since he began working on ABC’s 911. He has also had roles in NBC’s Dracula and the AMC series Into the Badlands. A short film featuring Stark was also released at film festivals this year. The Long Con, which was directed by Aitch Alberto and also starred Nava Mau, was another recent role Stark took part in as he also worked on season 9 of 911.

Since the news was just released, there’s not much information about Stark’s role. However, Stark was seen at a recent fan convention with an interesting hairstyle that is completely different from how he usually looks, so this could be a glimpse of how he will look once filming begins.

In addition to Stark, the film will also star Madeline Weinstein, Riley Dandy, and Arthur Langlie. Dandy is known for the SXSW sci-fi thriller Things Will Be Different; Langlie has had a role on CBS’s Elsbeth; and Weinstein has had roles in the HBO series Mare of Easttown and Mary Page Marlowe.

Producer Aaron Moorhead is also on board to work with the film, and he is known for Daredevil: Born Again. Other producers include John Iadarola, Ashley James, and Briana Frapart.

The Tampa Bay Film Commission is supporting the film, in addition to Florida State University’s Torchlight program. Production for the film has already started in Florida.

Stark has played Evan “Buck” Buckley on 911 since 2018, so this will likely be a departure from his firefighter persona. Fans are looking forward to seeing what he will bring to the role.

After nine seasons, we may see other 911 stars stretch their wings, which is the case with recurring guest star Anirudh Pisharody, who plays firefighter Ravi Panikkar.

He also announced he recently had a lead role in an indie thriller as well, alongside Tongayi Chirisa. That film, Chronos, follows a father who must search for his missing family in Greece and finds himself being hunted by the goddess of fate as he races toward Olympus to save his family.

While Pisharody has already wrapped filming, Stark’s film is in the early phases of production.

We will keep you updated on any further information involving the 911 stars, but the one thing we do know is that these new indie projects are not expected to impact Stark or Pisharody's role on 911.
