While the new seasons of 911, 911: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy might have only just begun, the trio of ABC dramas are somehow already gearing up to sign off the air until 2027.

With the holiday season fast approaching, the current lineup of broadcast series will soon begin wrapping up their fall runs and be sent into hiatus to make way for holiday programming. While some shows will remain on the air until early December, it appears that ABC’s entire Thursday night lineup will be signing off the airwaves in mid-November this year.

Inside Line has confirmed that the fall finales for 911 season 10, 911: Nashville season 2, and Grey’s Anatomy season 23 will air on Thursday, November 19. That’s right, that means we only have two more weeks of new episodes of the hit dramas before they go dark until 2027.

As crazy as it might sound for 911, 911: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy to wrap their fall runs after just six episodes each, it’s actually on par with the three shows' schedule last fall. Just as we’re seeing this year, 911, 911: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy all signed off for their fall breaks after the sixth episodes of their seasons before returning in the new year to air the majority of the season’s episodes.

The good news is that while 911, 911: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy will be among some of the first shows to sign off for their winter breaks, they’ll also be among the first shows to return in the new year! ABC has confirmed that all three series will return on Thursday, January 7, meaning that their winter break will only keep them off the air for six weeks. That might seem like a long stretch, but it’s much better than the alternative.

Prior to last season, ABC typically sent 911 and Grey’s Anatomy on extended hiatuses that wouldn’t see the shows return until March. There were some perks to that strategy in that the shows typically aired without interruption upon their returns, but the long breaks between episodes were rough on viewers.

It’ll be interesting to see how 911, 911: Nashville, and Grey’s Anatomy approach their fall finales, but fans could certainly be in for some major cliffhangers designed to keep fans talking through the winter break. We’ll see just how big the three shows choose to go when their respective fall finales air on November 19 on ABC, beginning with the 911 season 10 fall finale at 8/7c, followed by the 911: Nashville season 2 fall finale at 9/8c, and ending with the Grey's Anatomy season 23 fall finale at 10/9c.
