There is going to be a lot of change in the world of All American in season 7. The good news is the regular timeslot isn’t one of those changes.

Yes, there is a small change to the timeslot for the show’s premiere. All American season 7 will premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This is a one-off special timeslot for the return of the series, which will see almost a whole new cast take over.

When will All American season 7 move back to Mondays?

The CW isn’t changing the timeslot completely. After initially premiering on Jan. 29, the show will then move back to Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT. That happens on Monday, Feb. 3. Yes, you will need to make sure you put that in your diary as it’s such a quick change.

While we can’t really explain the reasoning behind the special one-off episode, it does connect well with a show that airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The All American season 7 premiere will act as the lead-in for a new episode of Inside the NFL.

A change of main cast in All American season 7

The seventh season of the football drama is going to see a lot of change. Six series regulars exited after season 6, making season 7 a soft reboot. There are still a few familiar faces around, but the show is going back to high school and focusing on what made it so great during the first few seasons.

Three cast members will return as series regulars. Michael Evans Behling, Greta Onieogou, and Bre-Z will come back as Jordan, Layla, and Coop respectively. We also have two who will be upped to series regulars, Antonio J. Bell and Alexis Chikaeze.

The good news is that some characters will return here and there. We already know that Olivia will be back, and Spencer is set to return in some sort of capacity throughout the season. Wouldn’t the school want to honor its NFL achievement? Daniel Ezra will return to direct some episodes as well, and it’ll be great to see how he does behind the camera.

There are a few new faces coming to the schools. Osy Ikhile will come in as Cassius Jeremy, the new football coach at Beverly High. Nathaniel McInture will join as Kingston Jeremy, the school’s new quarterback and the coach’s son.

All American season 7 premieres on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 8/7c on The CW. It will then move to Mondays from Feb. 3.
