Ava is an icon, but we already knew that! Other than being principal at Abbott Elementary, this gal is busy with other ventures. And as she said in the previous episode, episode 19, "Music Class," working at the school was not her main source of income. Instead, there's lot of other things she does, and we got a glimpse of that last week.
Ava spins the narrative in a very Ava way when at the TEB Talk, the announcer introduces her by saying she chose to step down as principal to spend more time helping her community, she's an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and life coach too. This made me laugh so much! But one thing is clear, Ava has a huge following of people listening to her advice. And tonight's episode seems like it will extend on that.
Abbott Elementary season 4 episode 20, "Ava Fest: Tokyo Drift," premieres tonight, April 2, 2025, at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC. The half-hour comedy series will be available to stream the new episode on Hulu the next day as well. Check out the release times below:

Ava Fest is back in Abbott Elementary season 4 episode 20!
Oh my goodness, I'm so sad we're almost done with the season. After this evening's episode, there's only two more to go. But, we're going to keep the excitement train going because the next episode is going to be a special one that I think we're all going to enjoy. Ava Fest is always a hit, and it's going to be back in Abbott Elementary season 4 episode 20 based on the episode title! Check out the official synopsis below:
"The Abbott teachers turn their open house into a carwash to help raise money for the school."
With the district finding out about Ava (taking the blame) blackmailing the golf course into giving the school better equipment and material, the district took everything away. As well as the funding they received at the district budget meeting this year. And so, I assumed the school would go back to needing certain necessities and it sounds like I'm right. They'll need to fundraise all the money they can get!
And what better way to do that than with the carwash, which if I had to take a guess is going to turn into Ava Fest to help get people excited about it. And you know that even if Ava pretended like she's fine leaving the school and her job, deep down we all know that she does miss it. And of course it's a great way to still keep Ava in the story in a fun way.
