Dancing With the Stars season 33 sends one star home in time for the semi-finals

The 500th episode of Dancing With the Stars was such an exciting night as we watched the performers prepare to head into the semi-finals for season 33. But first, we were treated with an choreographed routine set to the song “Crazy In Love” by Beyonce and Jay-Z, which was the song used in the series premiere on June 1, 2005.

Amazingly enough, one of the pro dancers was born days after the series premiere, which was Rylee Arnold. Is anyone else feeling their age right now? But anyway, the night was full of amazing routines and we even got the return of pro dancer Sharna Burgess, who has not been on the show for a few seasons now, but returned to take part in the opening routine.

What happened in Dancing with the Stars Episode 500?

The celebrities danced in tribute to previous performances from the run of the series. Some of them even performed routines done by judge Derek Hough and co-host Julianne Hough. They all did such an amazing job, and Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong stunned everyone with their performance.

In the second dance of the night, they had to perform an instant dance routine, in which they only had five minutes to prepare to perform a routine that was randomly chosen. They were all able to prepare for the possibility of choosing from four numbers, and it was obvious how they felt about what was chosen.

Pro dancer Daniella Karagach in particular was obviously unhappy with the dance they got, but both she and Dwight Howard did their best to perform the Paso Doble, which is difficult to do on such short notice. But despite not getting high scores, they did their best and that was most important.

Chandler and Brandon got perfect scores for both their routines, putting them at the top of the leaderboard. Arnold and her partner, Stephen Nederoscik, also performed well, despite some tempo issues, and Ilona Maher managed to handle herself with pride despite a lift not going right. We also loved Joey Graziadei’s performance and Danny Amendola took our breath away for all of his routines.

Who went home in Dancing with the Stars season 33, episode 8?

Unfortunately, we did have to say goodbye to one celebrity while the others went to the finals. In the end, Dwight and Daniella were sent home. We’re going to miss seeing them next week, but they worked so hard and we enjoyed seeing their routines each week.

This means that Stephen, Ilona, Chandler, Joey, and Danny are heading to the semi-finals. Who will make it to the finale? We’ll find out for sure when the episode airs on ABC on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 8/7c.
