Fire Country won't air a new episode tonight (but there is some good news)
If you’re getting ready for another Friday night of CBS drama, there is some bad news. Fire Country and the other two shows won’t air tonight, Friday, Nov. 29.
When you consider the date, the break is understandable. It’s Thanksgiving weekend. Sure, some people only get Thanksgiving off, but others take the whole long weekend. It’s a chance to spend time with family, and that often includes playing board games or watching family movies. The last thing a lot of people are thinking of doing is watching scripted dramas.
So, CBS isn’t considering putting on a new episode of a top show. It won’t have a rerun of Fire Country either. There is another plan to make the most of the holiday period.
What’s on instead of Fire Country tonight?
Friday, Nov. 29 is a night dedicated to Blue Bloods. There are two reruns, sandwiching the Blue Bloods: Celebrating a Family Legacy to air at 9 p.m. ET/PT. This is a special that looks back at the 14 seasons of Blue Bloods, which has just two episodes left to air of its entire series. It will cap out at 293 episodes!
So no, there isn’t even a rerun of Fire Country tonight. Whether you watch Blue Bloods or not (you should!), the Tom Selleck drama deserves the honor of this special and a night dedicated to it.
When will Fire Country return with new episodes?
The good news is there are still two episodes to air in 2024. Fire Country will return with new episodes on Friday, Dec. 6.
The episode is titled “False Alarm,” and will see more of Jared Padalecki’s Captain Camden Casey. Station 42 will be called out to a false alarm, as the title would suggest, but this is more than just kids being problematic. The group of firefighters will be moved into a highly dangerous situation.
Casey’s introduction in the series was to put the cadets through some tough situations. Maybe that training is about to pay off with the current situation they will all find themselves in. Can Bode keep a cool head and help to reduce the risks?
We’ve only just met Casey, but we already know that he has some baggage. A fire wiped out his former crew, which included his younger brother. That’s something he’s had to live with, and he’s focused on making sure others are prepared for that. It should also help him do what is needed to get his current firefighters out of this false alarm.
Fire Country returns on Friday, Dec. 6 at 9/8c on CBS. Catch up on the series on Paramount+.
