Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will have no more new episodes in 2024

As much as we would love a new episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage this week, it’s that time of year. The TV shows are heading out on their winter breaks.

We got the last episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage last Thursday, Dec. 12. It was a fun-filled episode, showing us why this series landed extra episodes rather quickly. While the show is on a break, it’s not the end of the road for it. We do have some good news.

Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage will return in 2025

This break is just a temporary one over Christmas and the New Year. We’ll get to see Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage season 1 return on Thursday, Jan. 30. It will be back on at 8 p.m. ET/PT just like it’s aired since the fall. Yes, new episodes of Ghosts, Matlock, and Elsbeth will then follow.

It is a little later than we’d like and later compared to other networks, but the break is roughly the same length as others. CBS opted for later fall finales compared to the likes of NBC and ABC.

In some even better news, there are more episodes! As we previously reported, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage scored a full-season order back in October. It was increased from 13 episodes to the full 22, which is normal for a sitcom. It proves that the series is performing as CBS hoped, which shouldn’t be surprising considering the successes of The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon.

Will Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage be renewed for season 2?

Eyes are now on whether the show will be renewed or not. Considering it scored a full-season order, we’re expecting to see renewal news come in soon. I’d be floored if it wasn’t renewed.

This series has legs. There’s plenty of story to cover for Georgie. We know very little about his life, especially after Sheldon moved out of the home. Georgie became a dad at a young age and a provider for his family. He offered stability in the wake of his father’s death, and we need to see how he grows up to be a good man and father.
