It’s going to be a heartwarming and hilarious reunion between Georgie and his Meemaw in Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage season 1, episode 14, titled “A Sportsbook and a Breakup.” It’s going to be emotional and hilarious, as Annie Potts always delivers her tell-like-it-is attitude to everything she’s featured in.
Based on the episode’s title, we could assume a breakup will happen, but whose will it be? As Georgie and Mandy has been renewed for a second season, it won’t be them. My dollar is on Meemaw and her boyfriend, Dale, as he never liked her illegalized gambling businesses. In addition, Meemaw found herself in jail, due to her work, and Dale has never liked that.
If Meemaw and Dale do breakup, will this be the last time we’ll see Craig T. Nelson in his role? I hope not, because he and Potts have an interesting chemistry onscreen. He’s the calm to her storm, and she always comes back done to earth, when she’s with him.
In a twist, underground gambling Will be the very thing that Mandy and Meemaw will bond over. While it’s unethical, Mandy’s quick on bringing home the cash, as she doesn’t think Georgie should be the only one providing for the family. And that’s causing a rift in their marriage, as she feels subconsciously that, given her degree, that she should be the finanacial superior.

As for Georgie, he’ll have a say in his wife’s new “career.” He doesn’t want Mandy to get caught up in the gambling world, as he had once been a part of it, and knows how cut-throat it can be. Plus, it’s not a great lesson for CeeCee, as Georgie’s trying to raise her right, and what a look would it be for her when her parents aren’t financially stable?
In the spirit of the show, everyone will most likely settle back to normal.
