Ghosts season 6 is about to shake up the show’s core cast, but in the best way possible! When season 6 arrives in 2027, fans can look forward to seeing more of Ben Feldman, who has been upped to a series regular for the show’s upcoming sixth season.

Feldman first joined the Ghosts ensemble in season 4 playing Kyle, who shares Sam’s ability to see ghosts. Kyle popped up several times in season 5 as Sam and Jay’s “ghost babysitter,” most recently appearing in the season 5 finale. Upon his return, Kyle accompanied Pete and Jay to the UK to track down a painting needed to save Woodstone Manor. While their trip was a success, the finale ended with Pete vanishing in the backseat of the car as Jay and Kyle were racing to get him back to Woodstone in time.

“We’re so excited to have Ben on Ghosts this season,” showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman said in a statement to Deadline, who first announced Feldman’s promotion to series regular. “He’s a truly gifted actor that is equally adept at comedy and emotion, and he’s an incredible addition to an already stacked cast.”

It’s going to be fun having Kyle around in a more full-time role, and it’s certain to shake up the dynamics at Woodstone now that the ghosts will have another “living” around more regularly to tend to their needs. It also is sure to make things even more interesting for Jay, who is now the only main living who cannot communicate with the ghosts in the manor.

The timing of Feldman’s promotion to series regular suggests that we might see Sam’s storyline taking her out of Woodstone as she prepares to launch her holiday movie franchise. This was a storyline thread introduced in season 5’s finale as it became clear Sam would be needed on set for filming, with Kyle being the perfect person to tend to the ghosts while she’s away.

We’re excited to see how Kyle settles in as he becomes a more full-time fixture at Woodstone, and we’re just as excited to see what ghosts Sam might encounter while working on her film as she gets out of the manor. Ghosts has always been creative in using its change of scenery to introduce fun new ghosts tied to the location serving as a backdrop to the episode, and there is no telling what type of ghosts Sam might encounter on a Hollywood set!

Of course, more Kyle at Woodstone also could mean more Bela as well. It will be interesting to see where the pair's relationship might go now that he's not just passing through town to help ghost-sit for Sam and Jay. And we can also hold out hope for a bromance between Kyle and Jay, whose UK adventure was definitely a highlight in the season 5 finale.

While we'll have to wait until 2027 for season 6 to officially begin, fans can look forward to Kyle partaking in his first Ghosts Halloween and Christmas during the two holiday specials set to air this fall on CBS!
