Grey's Anatomy season 21, episode 11 preview: What will the decision be?

There's an unfair hand, and then there's gaming the system. Grey's Anatomy season 21, episode 11 promises to look into that.

The end of the previous episode of Grey’s Anatomy made it clear that Evan had acted unethically. It’s set to come to a head in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 11.

Let me start by saying that Meredith Grey is not the most ethical person when it comes to medicine. She has certainly acted in a way to fix and game systems. We don’t even need to comment on the way she tried to cover up Izzy cutting the LVAD wire. There are a few more recent examples, including trying to game Adele’s inclusion in Derek’s Alzheimer’s trial and pretending a child was Zola, committing insurance fraud.

Meredith has learned from those actions, though. I still say that the insurance fraud wasn’t as bad, as it didn’t take away something from someone else. The gaming the trial did cross a line, but she ended up suffering consequences for that. Now it’s time for her to step up and protect others who lose out because of someone else gaming the system.

What decision will UNOS make in Grey’s Anatomy season 21, episode 11?

If Evan had declared all the medical details, her wife wouldn’t have ended up with the liver transplant. Meredith and Webber agree that Evan shouldn’t have lied. It finally got them talking about the case, and they were finally able to agree on something. Catherine seems to have agreed as well, as it doesn’t look like she did know about the whole situation.

The case has gone to UNOS. It’s up to them to make a decision about whether Evan’s wife gets the liver or not. I hope she does, purely because that liver is going to go to waste otherwise. However, she shouldn’t because of the lies. But then, Alzheimer’s is an unfair disease.

Meanwhile, the hospital will need to deal with college students stealing equipment. They’re there for a scavenger hunt. To be honest; just call in the cops and have them taken away! It shouldn’t be up to the doctors and nurses to deal with stupid college students, and they need to learn their lesson for stupid antics.

The promo does hint that something will happen between Teddy and Cass, and that’s not boding well for Teddy and Owen. Owen had just taken himself off a medical team because of his feelings for someone else. He did the right thing, and here Teddy is putting herself in a situation where there’s temptation.
