A new episode of 911: Lone Star isn't on tonight, but here's when it's back

911: Lone Star season 5 is well underway, but unfortunately, there will not be a new episode tonight (and it's for a good reason). Here's when season 5 episode 6 will air on Fox.

911: Lone Star is currently airing its fifth and final season, and fans have been kept busy with the show's fall release schedule so far. The first five episodes of season 5 have all aired on subsequent Mondays since the season's premiere on September 23. Unfortunately though, the show will be breaking their pattern.

On Monday, Oct. 28, 911: Lone Star will not be airing a new episode for season 5. It's not because Fox is choosing to air a rerun, but it's actually for a much more logical reason. The New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers will be playing in the third game of the World Series on Monday night, and that game is slated to air on Fox.

The World Series could have a total of seven games played. However if the Yankees and Dodgers do need to have a seventh game, it is scheduled for Saturday, November 2. So, 911: Lone Star will only be interrupted for one week, regardless of the World Series outcome.

When is the next new episode of 911: Lone Star airing on Fox?

911: Lone Star season 5, episode 6 will air back in its original time slot on Monday, November 4 at 9pm. Fox has already released a teaser trailer for the episode, which is titled "Naked Truth." In the trailer, we first see Tommy Vega telling Nancy Gillan, “I was on a call with my doctor about my mammogram. She said that they found something… it’s bad.” The clip doesn't confirm whether or not Tommy Vega has breast cancer, but fans are hoping that's not the case.

The rest of the clips shown in the teaser trailer focus on Owen Strand trying to save the horse Thunder from last week's episode. Owen is trying to get Thunder settled in his new routine at the stall, but things don't go so smoothly. We seem him get kicked in a stable and judged for not being able to handle a horse -- but the more intense tease is absolutely the barn fire that results in an explosion.

It makes sense that this episode will have some extra-soapy drama because it also marks the halfway point for 911: Lone Star's final season. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that season 5 will consist of 12 episodes in all, and I'm sure that the drama will be ramping up as we move even closer to the series finale.
