We would love to jump into new episodes of the One Chicago dramas tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 12. What’s going on with Chicago Med? Is a new episode on?
There is some bad news about the NBC lineup tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 12. There is not a new episode of Chicago Med on. As we previously reported, the series is taking a short hiatus this week.
What’s on instead of new Chicago Med tonight?
The good news is NBC knows how popular the drama is. Rather than completely go without, we will get a rerun of Chicago Med at the usual time of 8/7c.
We are jumping back to the fourth hour of the season, titled “Blurred Lines.” This episode saw Frost sure that his patient’s father was lying. He went on a mission to get to the bottom of the truth. Meanwhile, Ripley and Charles needed to treat a woman with a rare disorder.
When will new episodes of Chicago Med return?
This is just a short break. These weeks off happen due to the space to fill up to May, which is when finale season is. There’s no way that NBC would want finales of big shows to air earlier than May, but by bringing a show back in early January, it means we have breaks here and there in the schedule.
The good news is that this is a short one-week hiatus. The promo for Chicago Med season 10, episode 13 made it clear that the series would be back next Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Asher needs to help a patient who has an ectopic pregnancy. However, this woman is religious, which likely means that she won’t want to get an abortion. The issue with ectopic pregnancies is that they aren’t viable. In fact, allowed to progress, they can damage fallopian tubes and cause death of the mother.
Meanwhile, Ripley will need to face the consequences of his actions at the end of the previous episode. We watched as he beat a guy, and that guy is now in the hospital. Naturally, Ripley is going to want to keep this as quiet as possible, and it looks like he’ll go as far as stopping treatment to prevent the guy waking up.
Chicago Med returns with new episodes on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 8/7c on NBC. Catch up the following day on Peacock.
