Many Chicago Fire fans out there are ready for a new episode of the series. It’s Wednesday night after all. We have some bad news when it comes to tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 12.
There is not a new episode of Chicago Fire on tonight. This is something that we shared last week, as we took a look at the preview for the episode. It was clear when the promo came out that the show would take a break.
What’s on the NBC schedule tonight?
In some good news, NBC knows that we want to tune into something that involves Firehouse 51. That’s why when there are breaks in the regular schedule, we get some time with reruns. Chicago Fire will air a rerun tonight at the usual time of 9 p.m. ET/PT.
We are heading back to episode 4 of the current season. This is quite timely considering it was mentioned in the previous episode. It’s the one where Javi’s bike has been stolen. When Cruz believes that he has found the bike, he decides to set up a sting to “steal” it back. Of course, with Capp and Tony helping out, we know that this situation will go from bad to worse.
The main storyline of the night involved Violet. She had to deliver a baby via c-section, but that was after the death of the mom. Her livelihood was put on the line, but even Chief Robinson had her back. How did it all work out for her?
When will Chicago Fire return with new episodes?
This break is just a short one. It’s to help with the scheduling to spread out the episodes that are available. When a show returns in early January, breaks in the schedule are needed to make sure the episodes reach to May for finale week.
This break is only a one-week break. The promo for the new episode made it clear that Chicago Fire will return on Wednesday, Feb. 19.
The episode will see Severide and the rest of Squad 3 at an amusement park where there is someone hanging from a rope. Severide need to get out to save the woman while Violet and Novak watch and wait to be able to treat her.
