Wednesday nights are One Chicago Night. We settle in for a night of first responder drama, starting with Chicago Med. There’s some bad news when it comes to episodes tonight, Wednesday, March 12.

There isn’t a new episode of Chicago Med tonight, and it’s not alone. There won’t be a new episode of any of the three shows. NBC needs to put a break in the schedule to spread out the remaining episodes for the season to ensure the finales air in May. This also allows time for episodes to film and get through post-production, so they’re ready for us.

What’s on instead of Chicago Med tonight?

In some good news, there is a rerun of the series on tonight, but it’s at the slightly later time of 9 p.m. ET/PT. You will still want to tune in from the start of primetime, though. It’s all about the three-way crossover event from January tonight, starting with the episode of Chicago Fire. Chicago Med was the second hour of the crossover event.

This episode saw a gas explosion rock the city. Many of Chicago’s finest worked together to save the day (and multiple lives), including Frost and Archer, who headed out into the field to help with saving some of the lives.

When will Chicago Med return with new episodes?

It’s going to be worth rewatching the crossover event for some of the Frost storyline. He’s going to be front and center in the returning episode later this month. Chicago Med season 10, episode 16 will air on Wednesday, March 26.

We know that someone from Frost’s past is going to show up, and Maggie is immediately concerned. She can tell that Frost isn’t himself, and she wants to give him the safe space to open up and talk about it. Naturally, he won’t want to share at first. He’s a victim of abuse or assault; that part is clear from the way that he’s reacting. Not wanting to share is perfectly normal, as there are a lot of feelings of shame and fear. However, he needs to talk about it to get help!

Chicago Med returns on Wednesday, March 26 at 8/7c on NBC.
