The One Chicago franchise is taking some time off (when will new episodes air on NBC?)

One Chicago fans need to sit through reruns on NBC.

It’s bad news for One Chicago fans, as NBC has made it clear that the three shows are taking some time off. There will not be a new episode on Wednesday, March 12, and fans will want to know when the shows return.

In some good news, there will be some reruns. Next Wednesday, March 12, will see a rerun of the three-way crossover event. This means that Chicago Fire will air first again, and we’ll get a chance to relive the horror of some of our favorite characters’ lives on the line. The details of the rerun after that haven’t been shared just yet.

When will the One Chicago shows return to NBC?

This break is a little longer than the last couple we’ve had. It’s a two-week break, with all three shows confirmed to return on Wednesday, March 26. This was in all the promos for the shows so that we wouldn’t be blindsided each week.

The break is likely linked to scheduling purposes. There are only so many episodes to fill across the weeks available, and NBC knows that it means some weeks are dedicated to reruns. A break in March makes sense. February and May are big times for the linear ratings, so the networks will want as many episodes as possible airing during these weeks.

What to expect in Chicago Med when it returns

We’ll get a little more time with Frost throughout the new episode. Maggie is concerned, though. She can tell that something isn’t right between Frost and this Ainsley woman, and she wants to give Frost a safe place to talk and open up.

This isn’t going to be easy. It looks like there’s a sexual assault or abuse storyline coming, and it’s going to show us a side that isn’t often shown: when men are the victims. This needs to be talked about, and I’m glad Maggie is there for Frost.

Chicago Fire will pick up off the back of the devastating ending in the previous episode. We knew someone would die, and it turned out that we were right in that Monica Pascal didn’t make it. Chief Pascal is going to struggle with this loss, as it has been clear that he loves her deeply. He’s going to search for answers about what happened and try to find blame. At the same time, he will take some risks.

Firehouse 51 will need to figure out what to do to help their new Chief. This could be why Chief Boden is coming back into the story, as he’ll be able to help figure out if it’s time for Pascal to take some leave, putting Herrmann in charge.

Burgess takes center stage in the new episode of Chicago PD. There’s a murder in a diner, and Burgess has visited this diner a lot. It means she knows who the regulars are, and she wants to get to the bottom of the murder.

Now she needs to remember more details. Ruzek knows that she can do it, and he has her back throughout all of this. What happened in the diner?
