Anthony Anderson is hosting the 2024 Emmys but has he ever won an Emmy?
By Sandy C.
The 75th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards air on Monday, Jan. 15, only on Fox. The ceremony will be hosted by Anthony Anderson, most famously known for the hit sitcom Black-ish, which aired on ABC for eight seasons. The actor is also known for Grown-ish, Animal Nation with Anthony Anderson, among other projects.
Needless to say, Anderson is very well known in the entertainment business, particularly in comedy. That said, he is the perfect host for the Emmys. But fans are wondering, has Anderson ever won an Emmy?
Anthony Anderson has never won an Emmy Award, which feels wrong
Unfortunately, Anderson has never been awarded an Emmy, and that just seems criminal. The actor has been making us laugh for years! On the bright side, he has been significantly recognized for his work in Black-ish. Anderson has been nominated for an Emmy 11 times, both for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Comedy Series (as producer).
Anderson, however, has won multiple NAACP Image Awards, a Satellite Award for The Departed, and has received numerous nominations.
This year's Emmys are going to be very exciting as Succession leads in nominations. Will the comedy-drama sweep the Emmys? Also up for Outstanding Drama Series, we have Andor, Better Call Saul, The Crown, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The White Lotus, and Yellowjackets.
Don't miss the 2024 Emmys on Monday, Jan. 15
There are three ways to watch the event. The 75th Emmy Awards air on Monday, Jan. 15, on Fox at 8 p.m. ET. The ceremony will run for three hours, wrapping up at approximately 11 p.m. ET. If you don't have cable, you can still watch by streaming the event via the service you replaced cable with, such as FuboTV or Hulu TV. And if the problem is that you can't tune in at that time (or don't want to stay up too late), stream the 2024 Emmys the next day (Jan. 16) on Hulu. When and where will you be watching?
