Barbie has the most Golden Globe nominations this year, but Oppenheimer isn't far behind
By Cody Schultz
The Golden Globes have finally arrived and this year's event is full of nominees from some of 2023's biggest movies, including two films that delivered one of the biggest opening weekends of the entire year!
We're of course referring to Barbie and Oppenheimer which come into the night as the top nominees, with each film hoping to take home more than a few awards across the night. Much like at the box office, Barbie managed to best Oppenheimer as the most nominated movie of the year with a total of nine nominations with Oppenheimer coming in just behind with eight nominations.
While the two movies will be competing against one another in some races at the Golden Globes including Best Director and Best Screenplay, they'll each get the chance to shine on their own given Barbie will be in the Comedy or Musical categories while Oppenheimer will be competing in the Drama categories.
