Dune: Part Two is not available on streaming (but here's when and where it will be)
The day has finally come! After multiple delays and despite the movie being ready but being held during the actors strike, Dune: Part Two is finally playing in theaters as of March 1, 2024. I'm excited! Who else is excited?
The first film came out back in 2021, and we've been waiting for the sequel since. Right now, Dune Part 2 is only available to watch on the big screen. So what about streaming? Dune: Part Two will stream on Max after theaters sometime in spring 2024, per The Direct. This is because the epic sci-fi film's production company is Warner Bros. Pictures, which owns Max.

The news outlet reported that CEO of Warner Bros. David Zaslav shared the streaming release window at a Q4 earnings call. Hopefully, this will happen and there are no delays! Springtime is between March 19 and June 20. Though with the estimated massive box office success and money the film is going to bring, I think we're going to have to wait until a little later than March or even April for the movie to come to streaming on Max. But I could be wrong!
You can eventually watch on Max by following these steps:
- Visit the Max sign up page
- Select a plan: With Ads, Ad-Free, or Ultimate Ad-Free
- Create an account with a username and password
- Enter your chosen payment method
- Login to stream via your account
Dune: Part Two stars Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides; Zendaya as Chani; Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica; Austin Butler as Feyd Rautha; a; Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV; Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan; and more.
The film is of coruse once again centered around Paul, who is on a "warpath of revenge" against those who destroyed his family, per the synopsis. He's going to have to choose between the love of his life or "the fate of the known universe" as he knows there's a "terrible future" that could occur.
Now Dune Part 2 just came out, but us fans are already thinking ahead to what could come next. As of now, director Denis Villenneuve told The Times that "there is absolutely a desire to have a third one, but I don’t want to rush it." With how highly-anticipated the second Dune movie has been, I'm sure it's going to be a success and there will be room to expand the universe.
The first film adapted the first half of the book of the same name by author Frank Herbert, while the second production is adapting the second half. A Dune 3 would bring to life the second novel in the series, Dune Messiah. Though what we do have confirmed is a new Max show, prequel series Dune: Prophecy, which was previously titled Dune: The Sisterhood, coming in late 2024. It is an adaptation of the book Sisterhood of Dune.
