Fire Country fans are eager for season 3 and that will include a great spotlight on Eve! Here's what we know.

Since Fire Country began, Eve (Jules Latimer) has been one of the more intriguing characters. A childhood friend to main characters Bode (Max Thieriot) and Jake (Jordan Calloway). She and Jake were affected by Bode returning as a convict for Three Rock and Eve discovering Jake's past relationship with Bode's sister that led to her death.

Eve would step up more as a firefighter, although Manny was convinced Eve was secretly working against him. She proved herself as a good leader and season 2 took a spin by having Eve become the captain of Three Rock. She did go a bit too far trying to be a hard boss, convinced it was the only way the convicts would respect her. Bode and Manny had to make Eve realize relating to the men would win her more respect than bossing them around.

So far, we don't know much about Eve's past or her family. We know she moved to the area when she was nine years old due to the murder of her cousin, but she's been pretty tight-lipped about her family relations, with the hint they weren't happy about her coming out. However, that might change.

Previewing season 3 for TVLine, showrunner Tia Napolitano said that Eve "is going to have to examine some difficult dynamics within her family." That means we will get to see some of her kin, although there hasn't been any announcement on who will play them.

This can be good as we need more of a spotlight on Eve, who was a character who suffered by season 2 being only 10 episodes. Most of that was Eve going too far as the "boss" of Three Rock and having to learn how to handle the job. Again, the idea that she and her family have problems because she's a lesbian is fodder for drama and it will be good to see more of Eve's past and what shaped her life.

What else is coming in Fire Country season 3?

The season premiere picks right up with Garbiela's wedding, which is interrupted by a helicopter crash so it's up in the air if she actually says "I do." That's after Manny was arrested for assault, and his trial might be a big subplot for the season.

Bode will be on his own journey to become a real firefighter and form a connection with Leven Rambin's new character, Audrey James. Could the two create some sparks of their own with Bode trying to forget Gabriela? It's possible!

Meanwhile, Sharon and Vince will enjoy being empty nesters while Jake has to handle the new character Rick, who may be the birth father of Genevieve. On top of all that, Jared Padelecki guest stars as a Cal Fire chief who may become a bigger character.

With so much drama, including Eve's family, Fire Country season 3 looks to be raging hot when it premieres this fall on Friday, Oct. 18 at 9/8c on CBS.
