FBI: International is back for season 3! However, it's been so long that some may forget what happened in season 2, so here's a quick refresher to prep! Caution: This article contains SPOILERS for FBI: International season 2.

FBI: International focuses on a team of agents based in Hungary who handle crimes involving American citizens in Europe. The team consists of Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank); his second-in-command (and former lover) Jamie Kellett (Heida Reed); forensic expert Andre Raines (Carter Redwood); and feisty agent Cameron Vo (Vinessa Vidotto). With them in Season 1 was Katrin Jaeger (Christiane Paul), a Europol agent who acted as the liaison between the team and various national police forces. And, of course, their loyal Giant Schnauzer Tank.

Season 2 opened with Jaeger being promoted and Megan "Smitty" Garretson (Eva-Jane Willis) replacing her. The team did work with Jaeger in a later episode.

What happened with the team in season 2?

Season 2 had some ups and downs for the team. That included Forrester trying to help some neighbors who were being threatened by a local mob. That led to FBI higher-up Dandridge trying to get Forrester transferred off the team. He even pushed Agent McKenna onto the team as his spy. That backfired on him as McKenna proved Dandridge illegally wiretapped Forrester's phone, so Dandridge was fired, and Forrester stayed on.

Other plot turns included Jamie getting close to a Budapest cop only for him to be implicated in a murder, leading to a breakup. Raines was also dating a bartender, and there was an epic crossover with the other two FBI shows.

Who's the new guy on the team?

Episode 19 had the team running into Damian Powell (Greg Hovanessian), an undercover FBI agent and old friend of Forrester's. Despite his rough exterior, Powell proved himself on a case, and Forrester invited him onto the team. Powell and Vo were soon romantically involved, even though they tried to hide it from the team.

What happened in the finale?

The Season 2 finale had the team racing to find who had stolen a nuclear weapon to sell on the black market. They eventually tracked down the buyer and managed to recover the weapon, with Powell proving himself on the mission. Raines was preparing for the transfer of a prisoner when he saw a van racing toward their headquarters. As Raines headed toward the building, a bomb went off, leaving the fates of the team in the air.

What's coming for season 3?

The big news of season 3 is that Heida Reed is leaving the series. It's unsure if this means Kellett survives the bombing or not. Also, Christina Wolfe joins as new agent Amanda Tate, now a series regular.

Powell appears to have survived, as the description for episode 2 reveals how he and Forrester are breaking into a Libyan prison to free a captured FBI agent. So, it looks like Powell will join the team full-time for season 3. With only 13 episodes due to the strike delays, FBI: International is set for an exciting season 3 to keep this part of the hit franchise going better than ever.

FBI: International season 3 premieres Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
