Parenthood remains the name of the game for FBI after the close of the crossover with FBI: Most Wanted that saw Stuart Scola and Nina Chase navigating their careers and raising their son, Douglas. Now it's Maggie Bell's turn to be negotiating the dangers of her job and the responsibilities she has at home in "Family Affair," episode 10 of season 6 which premieres Tuesday, Apr. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

According to the synopsis, the case will involve a pregnant woman who has been kidnapped after an FDIC security guard is murdered. The guard had been tending to her because she was in distress but now she's being held hostage by the killer. It's a tense situation and one that will likely have us on the edge of our seats but the emotional piece of the episode will focus on Maggie.

Her storyline in season 6 has been about motherhood. When she and her friend Jess began working together, she got a closer looking into Jess' life as an agent and a single mother. It made Maggie start to reflect on where she's at in life and whether she wants to add a child to the mix. She'd gotten to the point that she was seriously considering IVF, then Jess died in the middle of an emergency medical procedure. Maggie had been granted temporary custody of Ella, Jesse's daughter, in case of such a situation but the reality of becoming the guardian of a grieving child is about to set in.

"Family Affair" will partly deal with OA and Isobel's concern for Maggie as she "navigates taking care of Ella." Presumably this means finding a balance between her work and being there for the child in her custody who needs her and who she'll need to slow down for in order to properly care for. Interestingly, this is coming as Maggie is in the midst of yet another covert operation.

As you can see from the promo above, Maggie will be going undercover in order to apprehend the man who murdered the FDIC security guard. Apparently, the killer is the leader of a cult. While she does locate the pregnant woman he kidnapped, Maggie winds up burning her cover in the process. Thankfully, both OA and Scola look to be outside of the house so she does have back-up but it's still a dangerous situation nonetheless.

If you miss "Family Affair" when it airs, you'll be able to stream the episode on Paramount+ come Wednesday. There are only three episodes left in the season after this one. The FBI season 6 finale titled, "Ring of Fire," premieres Tuesday, May 21. Stay tuned to Hidden Remote for more news and coverage!
